I went for late happy hour with my in laws. I grew up with a lot of Khmer and Lao folks in SoCal so I was excited to show my in laws a newer cuisine. They love Vietnamese food and ordered the SEA box which is close to Bun Thit Nuong. We ordered quite a bit. Stuffed Wing 9/10 Delicious, hot, and flavorful filling- just wish it came with scissors to make it easier to share Kapoon- 10/10 my soup with chili oil Shrimp roll 7/10 good but prob won't get again Beef skewers 10/10 so flavorful reminds me of night markets SEA Fries 9/10 so flavorful, cheeses, herbaceous SEA box (I didn't try it but in-laws said 10/10) huge portions. We had 3 to go boxes. Nam Khao 8/10 I really liked it- umami, crunchy, and limey. I grew up eating this dish. If are new to the Southeast Asian cuisine you may not like it at first, but it's nothing like you've had before. I love supporting local businesses and the service was great, attentive, and had great recommendations.

Food and service were great! We had dinner here with a group of us and we tried items from both their happy hour menu and regular menu. We tried the cream cheese wonton and loaded fries with chicken and they were delicious! Crab fried rice was really good and loads of chicken with their rice noodles. We also had our favorite dessert fried banana with coconut and Thai tea ice cream. Will definitely come again!

The chicken from Sea Hut was absolutely delicious. I prepared it in the oven, following the recommended instructions. Although the chicken appears a bit pink, that's just because of the flavorful marinade and sauce used in its preparation. The pink hue is not indicative of undercooking but rather a testament to the rich spices and sauces infused in the chicken. The flavor was truly exceptional, with a perfect balance of spices that made every bite a delight. The tenderness of the chicken, combined with the savory and slightly tangy taste of the sauce, made it a memorable meal. Despite its appearance, the chicken was thoroughly cooked and juicy. I wholeheartedly recommend getting the chicken from Sea Hut. It's a wonderful dish that brings a burst of flavor and satisfaction. Don't let the pink color deter you; it's all about the incredible taste!

This place is soooo good. If you haven't been here you need to! My partner got the bangkok basil lunch special with chicken and I got the lao lovers entree also with chicken. We both got our food mild and it had the perfect spice level for us, it might be spicy to people with lower tolerance though. Definitely do not get medium or hotter unless you love your food very spicy. The service was friendly and attentive. There are a few tables inside and no outdoor seating.

Had a chance to finally try the SEA Hut that I've heard so much about. My first item to get at any SE Asian restaurant is the kapoon. It's my reference item that I use to compare and contrast. The restaurant is cozy and probably seats about 20-30 people. It's tucked away in the older part of Elk Grove and has that quaint 80s feel. The staff was nice and told us to sit anywhere. My kapoon was very nice and came with the usual condiments, including cabbage, bean sprouts, and mint leaves. The soup was hot enough for my liking, and had that nice creamy coconut milk goodness. It wasn't spicy at all to me, which was a little disappointing compared to other fiery ones I've had. The noodles were nice and soft but not too much so. Overall I enjoyed it but it's not as good as some I've had in south sac. My companion tried the stuffed chicken wings and I tried it as well, and it was very flavorful with a nice crispy skin. The stuffing was more tastly than other's I've had in the past. Overall a good experience at SEA Hut and I'd like to come back and try more items.

Recently visited because we were looking for something different. We used to go to their sister restaurant before it closed. We went closer to dinner time and was immediately serviced right away. We ordered a few of their items to go. Everything we ordered, especially their Kapoon was delicious. We definitely will be back!

I recently revisited a Southeast Asian restaurant that I reviewed over 6 years ago, and I strongly believe that they deserve a second review from me. Since my initial visit, I have continued to order their party trays for all my events. Even when I have a craving for it, I would drive 30 minutes to get the individual order for myself. Their quality and service have remained consistently exceptional. One dish that continues to impress me is their nam khao, which are deep-fried rice balls similar to spherical croquettes, filled with chunks of Lao-style Vietnamese fermented pork sausage. These rice balls have a perfect crispy exterior and burst with flavor with each bite. I have tried nam khao at various other places, but this restaurant's version is unbeatable. They truly make the best nam khao I have ever had. In addition, I had the opportunity to have this restaurant cater my daughter's graduation party over the weekend, and it was a huge success. I decided to include the nam khao and their beef/chicken skewers and wings in the menu, and it was a hit with all the guests. Some of them are from out of town with one being from Arizona, had never tried nam khao or the skewers before, but after tasting them at the party, they fell in love with the flavors. It's amazing how these dishes can captivate the taste buds and leave a lasting impression. What sets this restaurant apart is the owner, Mora. She is an absolute sweetheart who works tirelessly to ensure her customers are satisfied. Her dedication to providing exceptional service is evident in every interaction. Mora goes above and beyond to accommodate special requests and makes sure that each customer feels valued and appreciated. Beyond the amazing food and outstanding service, the restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting. The decor creates a cozy atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience. It's a place where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and feel like you're part of a welcoming community. If you haven't visited this Southeast Asian restaurant l, I highly recommend giving them a try. Their nam khao alone is worth the visit, but the overall experience of dining there is truly exceptional. Mora and her team work hard to ensure that every customer leaves satisfied and with a smile. Don't miss out on this hidden gem - you won't be disappointed!

Safe to say that this little hidden gem in Elk Grove will be taking my money for many years to come..... I stepped into SEA Hut FINALLY last Thursday! And let me tell you, this eatery marks all 5 stars on all categories! They have lots of parking, lots of delicious eats to choose from, it's clean, it's cute, very friendly staff and the food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! I got there a little after 11 a.m., and I am so glad I did because it was POPPIN' with online and to go orders before noon! I was greeted by my kind server Derek, he is simply amazing and was such a pleasure to meet! He has wonderful customer service and just a kind soul! I really appreciated his service for my first time dining in! He took really good care of ya, girl! I already knew what I wanted to try, which was the Lao Lovers, which was stir fry chicken tossed with up garlic, chili oil, onions, and bell pepper! And it was more on the saucy side, which I had been craving! Perfect pairing with Jasmine rice!!! I asked for level 6 heat and let me tell you, my mouth was crying a little, but it was soooo good! I got the Lao Lovers lunch special with a chicken egg roll! Also, I love their no ice sweat water cups! Super cute and their little utensil bucket, which has chopsticks, spoon, fork, and napkins! Food came out PIPING hot as I LOVE, and I also asked for two sunny side eggs, and it was just chef's kiss! That first bite, the explosion of FLAVOR! The garlic, tender chicken, and the heat from fresh crushed Thai chilis!! Sooooo FLAVORFUL! And their chicken egg roll was hot and crispy! I really just wanted to meet the chef and shake their hand cause SEA Hut has a customer for LIFE!
